Definition of Item Conditions

• NEW: Indicates that we believe the item has not been used and is expected to function as intended. It may have been opened or handled and could be missing minor accessories such as dust covers, manuals, or packaging materials. We guarantee the item to function properly unless stated otherwise.

• OPEN BOX: Indicates the item has been opened and may have been previously used. It should be fully functional unless otherwise noted, but may show minor signs of handling or prior use and may be missing small accessories or packaging materials.

• USED, DAMAGED, or SALVAGE: These items are sold AS-IS and may show signs of wear, damage, or missing parts. No guarantees, refunds, or returns apply to these listings.

1. Payments

All payments must be completed online prior to pickup. No payments will be accepted onsite. Payments dues by 7 PM the day following the auction end. 

 

2. Return Policy

All items sold by Matthews Auctioneers are sold AS-IS unless otherwise stated. We do our best to accurately describe and photograph every item, and we stand behind our listings.
If an item is not as described, we will make it right.

Return eligibility varies based on how the item is listed:

• NEW Items – May be returned within 7 days of auction close, with prior approval, if the item is not as described. Approved returns receive a refund.

• OPEN BOX Items – May be returned within 7 days of auction close, with prior approval, if the item is not as described. Approved returns typically receive a store credit, but if the issue was due to a listing error or inaccurate description, a refund will be issued instead.

• USED, DAMAGED, and SALVAGE Items – Sold AS-IS with no returns or refunds.

How to Request a Return: To request a return, Text a photo and brief description of the issue to 276-530-1900, or bring the item to our auction center within 7 days of auction close for review.

Returns without prior approval or photo documentation will not be accepted.

3. Pickup Times

All buyers must have an appointment between the following times:

Tuesday............... BY Appointment

Wednesday..........By Appointment

Thursday..............By Appointment

Items not picked up by 5 PM Thursday will be forfeited without refund. 

If you require shipping, the buyer is responsible for paying the shipping costs associated with the item. We will combine shipping and work to keep costs as low as possible

4. Additional Fees

All sales will be subject to a 15% buyers premium and 7% sales tax.

5. Pallets

All pallets are sold AS-IS. Please read the following pallet grades:

A-Grade: The pallets marked A grade are considered mostly new. We do not guarantee that you will not find something in the pallet that is damaged etc. All pallet sales are final.

B-Grade Pallets marked B grade are considered straight store returns. You may find new, used, damaged & non-working items. We have not tested or sorted these pallets in any way. Buying bulk pallets does involve some risk. It is highly recommended that you inspect the pallets in person before bidding. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS GIVEN ON PALLETS.

C-Grade Pallets marked C Grade have been sorted by one of our sorting teams. The items in these pallets were rejected for individual sale. Most or all of the items in these pallets will be damaged, non-working, missing parts, or of low value. Buying bulk pallets does involve some risk. It is highly recommended that you inspect the pallets in person prior to bidding. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS GIVEN ON PALLETS.
